What the hell is this?
This is a Character Management System for FFXI. It allows you to keep a record of your characters' information, and also allows you to check the statistics of wearable items.
Who made this program?
This program was made by 3 members of the ShirtNinjas (www.shirtninjas.com), a Phoenix Linkshell created by Greg Dean (www.reallifecomics.com). This original idea was Kuroshiro's, and he obtained the item data. Most of the coding was done by Stardeath and Hamusutaa. In the last two years, Hamusutaa has taken sole reins over the project.
What is the difference between "User", "Character" and "Profile"?
A user is you, a person who may have multiple characters. Each character can then have any number of different profiles, based on job/subjob combination, level cap, or even just a different set of gear you use for partying vs. soloing.
What is "level capped" in the profile create screen?
Set this to a level if you use this profile for events where your level is capped to a certain number (Garrison, BCNM, etc.). It will restrict your stats and item selection to that level. If this is a normal levelling profile, leave this blank.
What is the "usage status" of a profile?
This represents where the items for the profile are stored. If it is "active", then the items are stored on your main character. If it is "archived", then they are stored in a mule. "Wish List" or "Retired" profiles represent items that you no longer possess. If an item is used by more than one profile, "active" takes precedence over "archived". This is mainly used for the "List all items" pages, to let you know which items you keep in your main character and which you put in your mule.
How do I make a wishlist, and how does it work?
A wish list is like any other profile, create the profile on the character edit screen, and select "wish list" as the type. A wish list profile is automatically raised in level to 75, unless it has a "level cap" selected on it, so you can see what your stats would be at that level and equip any gear for that level.
Why are my stats slightly off?
In the past, the stats were slightly off. Now, I'm pretty sure I've got it licked, so if there's any discrepancy between what you see in the game and on the Character Manager, let me (Hamusutaa) know.
Are you single?
Well, I know I (Stardeath) am, I'm not sure about the other two [I am, but I think Kuro's married -Hamu], but i'm obviously the sexiest, so I doubt you would care. Call me some time, we'll go out.
Can you dance?
I sure can: <(^.^)> <(^.^<) (>^.^)> \(^.^)\ /(^.^)/ \(^.^)/
